I'm relatively new to Cardlink but so far what I've seen, I like. The people I work with are friendly, talented and professional and willingly share their knowledge and information with me. I feel grateful to be given the opportunity to work with such a great team, a team that's focused on the needs of the customer and committed to providing them with innovative solutions.

Currently, I am responsible for managing the integration of new billers into the BPAY View scheme and am soon to be involved in a number of key projects which will expose me to other interesting areas of the business. I am excited about being given such opportunities and can’t wait to get started!

Production Support

As part of the team that tests and implements technical solutions for BPAY and the banks, the variety of work in my job is vast. No two days are ever the same and that’s exciting – I thrive with every challenge. In fact, I get a real adrenalin rush when there’s a problem to resolve and the great thing is that everyone pulls together to get the job done. The people here are so supportive and helpful. The thing I remember most on my first day is that everyone was so welcoming – it just isn’t like that in bigger organisations.

Knowing that my customers are happy also gives me a great sense of satisfaction. There is nothing better than getting a phone call from a customer thanking you for a job well done. It makes my day!

Web Applications and Development

I lead the team that builds the technical solutions for our customers including BPAY. In recent years my role has expanded and I’ve had the opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of the company’s IT strategic plan and transitional strategy. It is an exciting time to be at Cardlink as there’s so much happening, and the opportunities for people to have a real and visible impact across the business are immense. We’re constantly embarking on new initiatives, always changing, and the opportunities to develop and stretch professionally are on-going. Working with new leading edge technologies is of course an added bonus.

The fact that we have a high focus on quality here and take pride in being able to successfully meet the expectations of our customers is extremely satisfying. Technical Services

Moving from a big investment bank to Cardlink has opened up a world of opportunities for me. Since day one, management has taken an active interest in my career development by sponsoring my MBA studies, providing me with the opportunity to participate on several key IT projects and trusting me to take on additional responsibilities that challenge me... I’ve achieved more here than I have ever done in any other company because of the variety of work and the freedom and autonomy that I am given in my role.

Document Processing

Since starting at Cardlink in 1989, I have been part of the team that provides high quality document processing services to the banks including the scanning and reconciling of credit card “click clack” vouchers. When asked why I have stayed so long I tell people that it’s the camaraderie not only within my own team but throughout the company that keeps me here. Another bonus is that our executive team are so approachable - they make you feel that your contribution is of value... they don’t see you as just a cog in the wheel.

As everyone here knows, I love communicating with people, so to have been given the opportunity to train new team members over the years has been really great. I get a real sense of satisfaction from seeing them do so well.
